Place is exactly as described. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Its location is perfect, close to coffee shops and restaurants. Only issue I had was when it was time to check-in, I did not receive a code to the smart lock. I had to call and wait an additional 10 minutes for them to text me the code. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay here. The house was full of lovely amenities which allowed us to cook, make coffee, do laundry and feel at home. The fully fenced in backyard was a bonus for our pup. We would stay again.

I had an amazing weekend get away in Idyllwild. I had a little bit of a difficult time locating the Airbnb but that was related to rain, fog, and my own directional challenges. The home was pristine, the hot tub was warm, and the town is so close by and a cute little Hallmark town :)

We ended up with a smaller party than originally planned, but the space was wonderful! Felt like a homey cabin with nice amenities such as a hot tub and pretty much all the cookware you may need during your stay. The fireplace is also an outstanding feature!

Great cozy Cabin, close to the town, my two complaints were there are no full size mirrors, with 3 females in the house doing hair and makeup was a bit hectic and hard to do,another thing was all the plugs were super loose which was annoying.

This is our second time staying here. I read some comments saying this place is run down. It’s not. It’s just older but if you like the rustic cozy camping feeling then you will love this home. They are also very great about communicating and making sure you are happy. It’s an easy check in and check out process. The hot tub is very clean and warms up nicely. The home is clean and the beds are super comfy. My hubby, my 4 year old and me slept all in one bed and had plenty of room. The blankets are nice and cozy too. The bathroom is kinda cold but there is s heater in the bedroom closet that warms it up to make it nice for taking a shower. They have a Roku tv so you can watch you tube and Netflix’s and things like that. Above all another wonderful stay! Wish we could stay longer! I love this home!

The cabin is adorable and the hot tub is hot! Great location and very comfortable.We arrived during a snow storm and asked for an early check in but was told we could not. We asked to please message us when it became Available. We waited out front (lights were on and we could hear music, so figured they were still cleaning) for an hour in the snow. Finally at 4pm we decided to knock. They were not there and the space was ready for us that entire hour of waiting! We really would have appreciated the message, but instead sat and waited in the snow. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay!

Ideal spot. close to town. NO A/C. you get what you pay for, this house isn't amazing. Shower head is terrible. very small bathroom. not great art. it's basically a place to sleep. the cleaning team, Wendy, was very unprofessional. I asked for late check out and vacasa denied me at first saying the cleaning team needed all 6 hours to properly clean the house. well I showed pictures of the homes condition when I arrived, stains on the bed, soap scum and old conditioner pod in the shower, cobwebs in and outside of the house, outside table was streaky, hot tub cover was so dirty it looked like it never had been cleaned. point is I called them out and they agreed to give me a later check out. Then Wendy calls and says I'm a liar and the house was not in that condition when I arrived. regardless, the rest of vacasa team was nice and helpful. the house could be updated, extension cords with USB or like the shower head being replaced. simple easy fixes. overall I'd say I won't be back

Great location. Very close to town and hiking trails. It was nice to have a big fenced in backyard for my two dogs. However, it was not clear that the patio and backyard could not be accessed from inside the house. You need to out the front door and around the side of the house to access the backyard which was not too convenient for letting the dogs outside. Overall, a great place for a getaway.

Super cute cabin, nice and rustic (and nostalgic!) We enjoyed the hot tub after our adventures in Idyllwild, and the fully stocked kitchen was very appreciated. This is a great place to stay if you want a little place close to shops and trails. We'll definitely be back!

Upon walking in, this cabin is as cozy as it gets! Wood burning fireplace, beautiful mountain decor, very clean, and has all the necessities for a pleasant stay. I especially enjoyed the complimentary eco friendly toiletries. Super close to town and convenient for dog owners!

The place overall is as bigger than I had thought, cozy, and in a great location. I did have a few hiccups with the cleanliness and the missing cushions on the outdoor chairs. Thankfully the property management was very good with communication and helped fix the problem. I would definitely recommend to stay at this mountain home!

This cabin was very nice, simple and peaceful. We loved the hot tub and the laundry machines included after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and the heaters warmed the house up nicely. The bathroom is a little bit cold but warm showers remedied that quickly. Little bit of dog hair on the blankets and couches so a lint roller would have been nice but overall a really nice getaway from the buzz of the city.

The Bear's Den was a great little place to stay in Idyllwild. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The cabin was well heated with three furnaces. It was very close to town and to the hiking trails, and the hot tub was clean and warm. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at this little cabin. It was clean, the renter was responsive, and it was super close to town. Heads up, if you rent here you'll have all the equipment you need to cook a big dinner or breakfast, but you have to bring everything including condiments like sugar. There was nothing like that available. It worked out fine for us because we ate out every meal anyway. My only criticism is that they did not have any flexibility on check out time. We were running 30 mins late and had to really rush to be out exactly at 10am. Thanks again!

Had an excellent time at this cabin! Spacious with plenty of cooking supplies - my friends and I stayed here for a reunion while I visited from the East Coast. We cooked dinner together and ate it on the back patio. I highly recommend hosting a similar event here. The cabin was clean with two big, comfortable beds. The water pressure in the shower was a little lacking, but the bathroom was spotless! There are plenty of towels both for the bathroom and for the jacuzzi. If I ever stay in Idyllwild again, I will rebook here. I only wish that the check-in / check-out times were a little more flexible.

It’s a wonderful spot to step away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The place was spacious and clean. The patio is a nice place to hang out and eat. The backyard was big enough. The hot tub was a major plus. It was working and maintained well. The kitchen probably need some updating like the stove, adding more cookware and cooking utensils. There is no ac and they explained why that is, which wasn’t a bother since we tried to be out and about anyway. Overall, a good place to stay and would recommend it.

All good, could have had some cleaner walls, but PLENTY of bath towels and spa towels. Good toiletries, more than adequate kitchen wares. Will stay again. P.S. sorry we didn't wash the sheets but we did wash the towels.

Great place. We've stayed at a number of Airbnbs in Idyllwild and while this wasn't our absolute favorite it was very much as advertised. We were pleasantly surprised by the fenced in backyard. Perf for our pup and the hot tub was, hot, and already up and running upon arrival which was a major plus given most places can be a real undertaking trying to get them to work/heat up. The only knocks were that a few items felt like they weren't well maintained. A lamp shade had blue painters tape holding it together. A plastic blind fell off with normal use. No cushions on the outdoor chairs (pretty uncomfortable when you're looking to soak in the outdoor space) All minor stuff but things that felt like a little meh when youre trying to relax and not feel like you're at your own home and needing to play handyman. Everything else was wonderful. Very comfortable. The fireplace was stocked and all setup and made for very cozy mornings. All around solid place especially if you have a dog!

This beautiful little cabin was exactly what we needed for our staycation! We were most excited about the hot tub that was perfectly heated to 102 degrees which made relaxing while getting some rainy weather that much more enjoyable and memorable. This place has plenty of throwback charm and a great jacuzzi. The only thing that it needs is the latch on the inside of the gate to be completed to keep your dog safely secured in the yard.

A good value considering today's rental rates, nice and clean small home. No frills except a small jacuzzi in the back yard which was warm upon our arrival. As mentioned in earlier reviews, no cushions on the deck seats. Living room was spacious for our toddler to spread out his toys. The two king bedrooms would be perfect for two couples. Not the most scenic part of town, but close to the county park. Perfect for a crash pad during the work week. I would consider something with more scenery and luxuries for a weekend getaway.

The cabin was overall great! Clean, close to town, awesome amenities. Only thing I would say is the beds were super tough to sleep in (extremely firm) and the direction on how to work the heater were unclear so we didn’t know where to turn the main heat up or down.

This was a great stay and setup for some time away with friends! The beds are really comfortable and there was plenty of space for 4 people. The hot tub was a little bit dated, and to get to it was a little bit of a journey; you had to go out the front door and through a fence, and down some stairs into the yard, there was no back door access. The back deck however was great, and overall it was a great stay for a few days!

this place is not pristine, but its comfortable, has a fireplace and very nice hot tub in the backyard. dog friendly, fenced yard is a big bonus. Neighbors are very close though, so its not exactly a forest escape in that way. convenient location close to hiking, and a very short drive from town. overall, would recommend.

Spent a long weekend here and the spot was just as advertised! Super cozy and the perfect size for two couples. Our pup loved the big backyard and we couldn’t have been happier with the BBQ and hot tub situation. The location was great too, as were the neighbors on either side of us! Stayed overnight for a much needed time away from the city. This cabin is located in a lovely town in SB county passing the national forest. The cabin itself is easy to find, has ample parking, cozy, and good for 3-4 people or a family. The town local spots had all our needs and so did the cabin. The outdoor bathtub made the entire stay 100% a must too. The town itself is quiet by nature so the early peaceful mornings and quiet nighttime routines we’re perfect. It’s like being lost in a forest in another state and did not feel like being 2 hours away from home. Easy communication, easy access to the lockbox as well. Instructions were clear and precise for all ages. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. It was so nice to check in and the fireplace was going, the heater in the rooms were also on. There was tons of towels for showering and to use after the hot tub. Both beds were very comfortable too. All you really need is lighter fluid and wood. Overall, we loved the place! Definitely going back.

Two friends and my boyfriend and I spent a weekend at this wonderfully cozy cabin—we cooked, grilled, watched movies, played games, basked in the hot tub, and overall enjoyed the perfect fall mountain getaway vibes. The location isn’t the most private, but it’s nice to be so close to town, and we were a 10 minute drive from trailheads. So so cozy in a gorgeous setting—highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a cabin experience in Idyllwild, this is the place. Easy check in and check out, great location and parking, and great backyard! It got a little warm inside sometimes, but it’s a cabin so just open the windows. They also provided laundry and dishwasher pods for dishes/towels, so that was very helpful. Overall great value and location.

Our family of four really enjoyed staying at Bear's den. We have two young girls who enjoyed having their own room as well as the hot tub! There was plenty of space in the main living area for when we all wanted to sit and watch a show together. Overall we felt very comfortable in this cabin and would be happy to stay again!

The cabin was perfect for a short getaway for our family, which included myself, my husband, our 12-year-old son and my parents. Everything was extremely clean and it is stocked with amenities such as clean linens, towels, beach towels for the hot tub and dishes. It is sunny and peaceful. The neighborhood is close to town but some of the surrounding properties are a little shabby looking. Of course the owner cannot do anything about this, but it is worth noting that you will have to make an effort to to look past some of the less-than-cared for chainlink-fenced yards off the back deck. (If you keep your head up, you will have a nice view of the mountains and trees, and there are lovely birds chirping away!) Also, the beds are very firm. If you like a firm mattress, you will love them! I did not sleep as well as I would have liked because I prefer a little cushion to my mattress. The living room furniture is very comfortable. (I fell asleep in the cozy recliner and I never fall asleep during the day). We enjoyed the hot tub and all that Idyllwild has to offer. For the price it is a great deal and we would definitely stay there again.

The property is cozy and spacious. Most of the things you need to cook are available. The jacuzzi and the back porch were great extras to enjoy. The shower/water pressure is a little outdated and there weren’t many cleaning products (Lysol wipes, trash bags) available so bring extras of that.

Vacasa’s cabin is the perfect place if you want to experience Idyllwild. It’s minutes from downtown, and her cabin was extremely cozy and woodsy- perfect for the cabin atmosphere. Her cabin also has a heater which was super convenient! We had a fantastic experience, and would highly recommend Vacasa’s cabin for anyone who is looking for that authentic cabin experience!

This cabin had everything we could have needed on this trip, I do not have even one complaint! Very clean and welcoming, it felt like home away from home we did not want this trip to end. We did some hiking and both trails we did were less than 10 minutes away. Very short drive into town with lots of food options. Let's not forget after the long hike coming back to soak in the hot tub. Really made the trip that much more special. It was really great that we were able to take our dog along as well. He enjoyed it just as much as we did. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience, this was our first rental and we will DEFINITELY do it again!

This was a cozy little cabin very near town. It was comfortable and had enough room for my group. Kitchen was fully stocked. We didn't use the hot tub but wish we had time...it looked clean and relaxing. There were a few random spiderwebs up high in the ceilings, but besides that everything was nice and clean.

The cabin is cute and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The TV had Roku, which was a huge plus for us when we stayed in from the rain. The fireplace was very nice. The shower had very good water pressure. The grill worked very well. It is a little close to the neighbors but that didn’t really bother us. Overall a great stay!

Such a sweet and cozy cabin! The hosts were so incredibly responsive as well. The garbage disposal broke on New Years Day and the hosts got a handyman out to fix it in hours on a holiday! We definitely plan on coming back to this very special place.

We had a wonderful time staying at Bear's Den. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of clean towels and the home was clean and cozy. The kitchen was adequate for basic meal preparation. The back yard was nice for our little dog. We enjoyed the fireplace and the home was great for our family's little getaway. We loved how convenient it was to downtown Idyllwild and we loved visiting Middle Ridge Winery and shopping at Idyllwild Aura, where we even went to a yoga class. We would be happy to stay here again!

This was a cozy and comfortable space! The heat was easy to use and handy in November when we stayed here. The kitchen has a lot of useful tools, though light on mixing bowls. A big elaborate meal would be challenging with the supplies, but there is enough of everything for day-to-day cooking. The entrance to the yard is a bit awkward coming from the house and would require leashing your dog from front door to gate entrance if your pooch is a runner. The spacious yard was very useful for our dogs. A lot of great features and a surprisingly spacious layout for what really is a smallish cabin. Two very-comfortable-with-each-other small families could squeeze into each room and into the front room for a very fun "camp" vibe. We plan to return!

This places was cute, comfortable, clean and was stocked with everything we needed. The store in town has any item you need on your grocery list if you forget something. Tv was a touch quirky, but we didn’t care, we weren’t there for that. We played chess for hours on the deck while bird watching. Great stay, would definitely stay again!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend with our girls (5 and 7). The cabin is clean and spacious and pretty well maintained, with only a few little quirks. The kitchen is well outfitted with anything you may need. We loved the fire place and the hot tub! Don't expect anything fancy or new but it is not missed. We will definitely try to come back next time we visit the area.

This is an Honest Opinion -------------------------------- This is a cabin in the woods, not the Ritz and we knew that going in it. That's what we wanted and that's what we got. Everything works well which made us very comfortable while we stayed there. Communication with the host was quick, personable and professional. When we asked specific questions about the area we got prompt correct answers. The WiFi is quick too. Pets are allowed. We would stay here again.

The cabin gets very warm, however we found a lot of ways to stay cool. We ate at the table outside for meals and cracked the windows and let the fans spill. There is a slight ant problem but some traps were provided. The decor is very cute and there are a lot of towels and blankets and never felt like we didn't have anything we needed. A few more bowls would have been nice for those who like to cook. We also used the blender to make smoothies. The location of the cabin is super convenient for climbing spots, downtown area, hiking, etc.

Love this adorable cabin! The fireplace was amazing, so nice to have!! Great location, nice quiet street. Love that this place and the town are dog friendly. The outside gate/door was broken making the backyard not easily accessible, though it was nice to have such a big yard space for my dog to play. The hot tub is in a place that wasn't all that appealing, in fact we booked this mainly because it had a hot tub but didn't use it once! I had to re-connect the TV/cable cords because it was set up incorrectly but now the TV and cable are working for future guests. All in all this was a super charming & comfortable place. Very happy with our stay!

This place was great! Classic rustic cabin in the mountains. Jacuzzi in the snow and a wood burning fireplace- it was very cozy. We walked to town for breakfast and explored the surrounding areas! Humber Park and Hemet Lake were close by. David was very responsive and helpful when we had a question/concern. It was a great weekend trip in a cute little town! Lots of food options around too. Bear's Den was close to town, but not too close, giving us the convenience of walking into town, but still having our peace and quiet back at the house. Overall pretty good!

We had a great birthday weekend up in idyllwild while a short but slushy snowstorm hit. Super fun to go in the hottub at night and look at the stars while bits of snow fall off the pine trees onto us. We celebrated a birthday weekend and it couldnt have been a more comfortable environment to just chill n get away. Tons of blankets, the fireplace was always burning, kitchen had all the essentials so we could cook in. The mattresses on the beds were very comfortable. Only thing id recommend - if you're going during snowy seasons, bring chains for your tires. We had an incident getting up there that was treacherous. If we had chains, we would have had a way easier time. Overall, amazing little vacation. We would stay again.
