Casago SoCal information
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the pages on this site and the booking inquiries, reservations, and homeowner inquiries that begin here. It does not cover other companies' sites you reach from ours.
This site is operated by the Casago SoCal brokerages — licensed California real estate brokerages, each serving the destinations it is licensed for, and each named with its designated broker and CA DRE license number in the footer of its destination pages. Together they are "we" and "us" in this policy, and they apply the practices described here consistently across every destination on this site. Effective date: September 2026.
Throughout this policy, "personal information" means information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you.
We collect three kinds of information: what you give us directly, what your browser sends automatically when you visit, and what our booking and payment partners report back to us after a transaction.
What you give us. When you search for a home, request a quote, send a booking inquiry, make a reservation, join our email list, ask about having your own home managed, or write to a local office, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, travel dates, party size, the names of others traveling with you, any arrival or accessibility needs you tell us about, and whatever else you write in a message.
What your browser sends. Like most websites, this one records technical details of each visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you, the pages you viewed, and the dates and times you viewed them. Cookies and similar technologies are how most of this is gathered.
What others send us. Payment processors confirm whether a payment succeeded and return limited transaction details. If you booked one of our homes through a listing channel, that channel passes us the reservation information it holds for you. Analytics and advertising providers report how visitors reached the site.
Payment information is processed through secure third-party payment gateways. We do not store full payment card numbers on systems we control.
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. We use them to keep the site working, to remember what you were doing, and to see how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies in your browser, and where the law requires it, through the notice shown on this site.
Necessary cookies keep the site functioning. They hold your search filters, keep a booking form from losing what you typed, and support security. Blocking them will break parts of the booking process.
Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read, how they arrived, and where they leave. We use that to fix what is confusing and to write more of what people find useful. We look at patterns across visitors rather than following one person around the site.
Advertising cookies let us show our homes to people who have visited before and measure whether that advertising worked. The advertising and analytics tools in use on this site include Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta advertising tools, and remarketing and conversion tracking technologies. You can manage ad preferences through Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
Some browsers and browser extensions can send a Global Privacy Control signal on your behalf. How this site responds to that signal is being confirmed. In the meantime, you can record an opt-out directly with us using the contact details at the end of this policy.
We use personal information to do what you asked us to do and to run the business behind it: answer an inquiry, price and confirm a stay, prepare the home, reach you before and during the trip, take payment, keep required records, and improve this site.
Booking and hospitality. Your contact and trip details go to the local Casago team that manages the home you booked, so the people who clean, inspect, and maintain that house know who is arriving and when.
Payment and accounting. We use your information to charge for a stay, issue refunds, keep financial records, and look into disputed charges or suspected fraud.
Communication. We send the messages a reservation requires, including confirmations, arrival instructions, and follow-ups. If you opt in, we also send occasional marketing email about homes and travel in the markets we manage, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop the messages tied to a booking you have already made.
Improving the site and measuring advertising. We analyze traffic patterns to improve the pages, and where cookies allow it, to measure and target advertising.
Legal and safety. We use and disclose information where the law requires it, to enforce a rental agreement, to protect a home, or to protect someone's safety.
We share personal information with the people and companies that make a stay work, and with service providers who handle part of our operation under contract. We do not publish it, and we do not hand it over for reasons unrelated to running the business.
The local management team. The Casago office that manages the home you booked receives your reservation and contact details so it can prepare the home and reach you during your stay.
Booking and property management systems. Our reservation, guest messaging, and property management platforms store guest records on our behalf.
Payment processors. Card and payment information is handled by payment processors under their own security obligations.
Listing channels. If your reservation came through a listing channel, we exchange reservation information with that channel.
Professional and operational service providers. Accountants, insurers, attorneys, marketing and analytics vendors, and IT providers receive information where their work requires it.
Government and legal recipients. We disclose information when a law, subpoena, court order, permit condition, or tax authority requires it.
Business transfers. If the business is sold or reorganized, guest and owner records may move with it.
These providers receive only the information their work requires, under contracts that limit their use of it to our instructions and require confidentiality and security standards.
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then for as long as tax, accounting, insurance, and permit rules require the underlying records to be kept. When a record is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we delete it or remove the identifying details.
If you want to know how long we hold a particular record, contact us using the details at the end of this policy and we will tell you.
We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls that keep guest and owner records limited to the staff who need them. No website or storage system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that no attacker will ever succeed.
If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by California law.
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights over the personal information we hold about you. Exercising them is free, and we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you did.
The right to know. You can ask which categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
The right to delete. You can ask us to delete the personal information we collected from you. Some records have to be kept, such as a completed reservation, a payment, or a tax record, and we will tell you when an exception applies to your request.
The right to correct. You can ask us to fix personal information that is inaccurate.
The right to opt out of sale or sharing. You can tell us not to sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. You can tell us to use it only for the purposes California law allows without a limit request.
The right to use an authorized agent. Another person may submit a request for you if they have your written permission and we can verify it.
To make a request, use the contact details at the end of this policy. We will verify who you are before acting, usually by matching what you tell us against a booking or account record, and we will respond within the period California law allows.
California law requires a category-by-category disclosure of what we collect, where it comes from, why we collect it, who receives it, and whether any of it is sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. That disclosure has to match the tags actually running on this site, so it is being verified rather than estimated, and it will be published here once that verification is complete.
Under California law, "sale" and "sharing" cover more than exchanging information for money. Passing identifiers to advertising or analytics providers can count on its own, which is why the answer depends on which tags are live here.
In the meantime, you can exercise any of the rights described above, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing, using the contact details at the end of this policy.
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will process your request and confirm when it is complete.
An automated opt-out control for this site is being finalized. Until it is in place, a request made through the contact details below carries the same effect.
This site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it. A child's name may appear in the party list a guest gives us for a reservation, and we treat that as part of the reservation record.
Listing channels, mapping services, activity and ticket providers, and the local businesses we mention in our area guides run their own sites under their own privacy policies. This policy does not cover what they collect or how they use it. Read theirs before you hand over information on their pages.
We update this policy when our practices change or the law changes. The effective date near the top tells you which version you are reading, and material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
Send privacy questions and rights requests through the contact details for your destination on our contact page at /contact, or call (866) 365-2221. Include enough detail for us to find your record: the name on the booking, the destination you stayed in, and roughly when you were there all help.
If you would rather write to a person than an inbox, each local office is listed on our contact page.
